“I recorded all tracks in 1968, which became the album released in October 1968, and it is now re- released as a Deluxe Vinyl Package in October 2025, in my preferred GLORIOUS MONO.

The new re-release album includes another big hit JENNIFER JUNIPER, two songs written by my road buddy Gypsy Dave, Bert Jansch playing guitar on the track Tangier, plus a cool selection of acoustic works
with upright bass maestro Danny Thompson, jazz cool, brass orchestral and smooth calypso with John Cameron, Harold ‘Little G’ McNair’s flute and sax, jazz drummer Tony Carr, prolific session player Clem Cattini also on drums, John ‘Candy’ Carr on congas, and my Star Session Pal John Paul Jones on electric bass.

My favourite of all these 1968 sessions is the title track session: THE HURDY GURDY MAN.”
